About
Recap Raven is a Discord bot designed for Dungeon Masters and players of tabletop RPGs like D&D. By joining your voice channel, the bot records your live sessions and automatically generates player-safe recaps, key moments, and open story hooks within minutes. It transcribes the audio, identifies who said what, and deletes the raw audio files after transcription is complete.
The tool features a campaign memory engine that allows players and GMs to ask questions about NPCs, items, and past decisions directly in Discord, with every answer cited back to the transcript. It supports multiple languages including English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, and Brazilian Portuguese.
For Dungeon Masters, Recap Raven provides private GM-only analytics, session feedback, and next-session prep suggestions. It strictly separates player-facing recaps from private GM notes and speculation, ensuring that campaign secrets remain hidden while tracking character spotlights and unresolved story threads.

I think at first it will be a really great LTV boost for the users who are already subscribed. But based on some of the research I've been doing it will also work the other way — folks looking for books online could become a lead gen for the subscription app as well.
Physical books on Amazon give a two-way flywheel: subscribers get an LTV boost and Amazon buyers become app leads
User demand for physical versions of the in-app storybooks prompted Reading.com to expand into Amazon publishing. The strategy creates a bidirectional acquisition loop: current subscribers buy physical books for off-screen reinforcement (extending subscription value and LTV), while Amazon shoppers discovering the books become a new top-of-funnel for the subscription app. Physical products also create lasting brand presence in the home that digital subscriptions cannot.
If you're starting, if you're early stage, if you're not super sophisticated, you probably don't want to bother with that because chances are you have 80% of your conversions on the first day paywall and diving into optimizing the remaining 20% is probably not the best effort.
Below $100K/month, don't bother with sophisticated paywall optimization
Splitting onboarding vs post-onboarding paywall analysis, hybrid monetization, and price testing all have diminishing returns when you're small. Below ~$100K/month, focus on bigger swings in onboarding and positioning. These sophisticated optimizations help scale from $100K to $1M, not zero to one.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
