Chargd
Native Mac invoicing. Buy once, work offline.
About
Chargd is a native macOS invoicing app for freelancers, tradespeople, and small businesses who want to bill clients without a monthly subscription. You create quotes on the Mac, convert them into invoices, and keep clients, payments, expenses, and reports in one place. Everything is stored locally on the Mac in SQLite. There is no Chargd account, no cloud login, and no required internet connection to build a quote or invoice. The free tier lets people try the workflow; Pro is a one-time $49 purchase from chargd.pro via Lemon Squeezy, or $59.99 as a Mac App Store in-app purchase. The Mac App Store build is macOS 13 and Apple Silicon; the direct DMG is the universal download from https://github.com/allel09/chargd-releases. Chargd is built as a real Mac app (Tauri/Rust), not a wrapped website, and is meant for electricians, plumbers, photographers, consultants, and other trades who invoice their own clients. 2025 Shifts From Creative Volume to Creative Diversity — Andromeda Changed the Game
Meta's Andromeda model update changed the optimisation signal. Where 2024 rewarded raw creative volume (more ads = more surface area for the algorithm), 2025 rewards a diverse creative set — different hooks, angles, formats, and concepts. Pumping out fifty variations of the same concept no longer works; the algorithm needs genuine concept diversity to explore.
You could put it up front you can put it as the first thing and you may get some that initial conversion may go up but then that longtail that LTV and so you just have to understand those further down those longtail metrics.
Paywall Early Lifts Conversion But Destroys Long-Tail LTV — Know the Trade-Off
Front-loading the paywall in onboarding can spike initial conversion numbers — but subscription businesses live and die by long-tail LTV. Pushing paywall before value delivery often trains users to dismiss it rather than feel the need. The KPI to watch is not conversion at day 0; it's LTV at month 6.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
