Secure Folder: Privacy Vault
A private folder for photos and videos on iPhone.
What is Secure Folder: Privacy Vault?
Secure Folder: Privacy Vault is an iPhone app for private photos, videos, files, and notes. Photos and videos are stored locally on the iPhone, and nothing is uploaded. No account is required. The vault opens with a PIN or Face ID. A second PIN opens a decoy vault that shows harmless content while the real vault stays closed. Alternative home-screen icons include a calculator. A wrong PIN can save a local photo and a timestamp inside the vault. The app is made by independent developer Mehmet Ali Kisacik and is listed on the App Store.

It's really speed to delivering on the value proposition in a credible way. It doesn't always mean fewer steps. The aha moment for them is really hard to get to the point where you truly believe you're going to lose the weight.
Speed to Value Doesn't Always Mean Fewer Steps — Noom Needed 60 to Create Belief
Noom's 60-step onboarding makes no sense unless you understand the job: get users to genuinely believe they will lose weight. Each step builds psychological investment and refines an increasingly personalized prediction. Sean Ellis helped Noom early and watched it test its way to this counter-intuitive insight: for habit-change apps, a longer onboarding that builds conviction converts and retains better than a short one that skips the belief-formation step.
The Core Technology Fee is 50 cents per first annual install per year once you've hit a million installs threshold. The interesting thing very easy to miss is that this includes not only 'I tap the button in the App Store to install' — it also includes app updates. So you can think about it as the number of people in the EU that have the app on their iOS phone.
Core Technology Fee = €0.50 per annual install — counts UPDATES, not just first downloads
The €0.50 CTF isn't just a per-download fee — it triggers on every annual app update, converting it from an acquisition cost into a recurring per-user tax on the entire EU install base over 1M. Free apps with retained users get hammered every year.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
