About
Outvote is a public leaderboard for products ranked by daily votes. Anyone can submit a product to Outvote for free, with no account or login required — there's no signup wall between makers and getting their product listed. Once submitted, a product appears on the leaderboard where visitors can browse and support the products they like. Voting is simple: each browser can cast one vote per product per day, so rankings shift over time as more people discover and support different products. This daily-reset voting mechanic gives every product, no matter how new, a repeated chance to climb the leaderboard and gain visibility. After submitting, makers can share their listing link with potential customers, communities, and social channels to rally votes and drive traffic back to their own site. Because there's no account requirement for submission or voting, the barrier to entry is low for both makers who want to list a product and visitors who want to cast a vote. Outvote is built for indie makers and small teams who want an easy, ongoing way to build visibility for what they've made, one vote at a time.

I think fewer people are searching for apps and so being in a featured list in the App Store is not the thing it used to be… a lot of my downloads are coming from the word-of-mouth version of organic rather than someone coming to the App Store with a need.
App Store Browsing Is Dead — Word of Mouth Is the New Organic
The era of users browsing the App Store for discovery is over — most users come in with specific intent or via a recommendation. For David, App Store featuring, while still valuable, no longer drives the volume spikes it once did. Durable organic growth now requires building features that generate screenshots, shares, and genuine conversation.
Now that anyone can build any software they want, knowledge and product is no longer the moat. The moat is your distribution... someone goes out and builds Creator Buddy 2.0 the exact same app in 5 seconds but they have 10 followers — I'm going to outsell them in circles.
Distribution beats product when anyone can clone your app in hours
Alex made $100K in 15 minutes not because his product was technically superior, but because he had spent 3 years building an audience of people who trusted him. In the AI era where anyone can replicate an app quickly, the launch advantage belongs entirely to whoever owns distribution. Building in public for years before the launch was the actual product.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
