What is CollegForMe?

CollegeForMe is a student-focused education discovery and decision-making platform built to make choosing the right college, course, and career path easier.

Every year, students spend hours searching across different websites, college pages, cutoff lists, placement reports, rankings, blogs, and social media just to answer basic questions: Which colleges can I get? What are the expected cutoffs? What are the placements like? Which course is right for me? Where should I stay? And is a particular college actually worth considering?

The information exists, but it is often scattered, difficult to compare, outdated, or presented without enough context.

CollegeForMe brings this information together in one platform and helps students move from simply searching for colleges to making more informed decisions.

What CollegeForMe offers

• College Discovery — Search and explore colleges based on courses, location, entrance exams, and other relevant criteria.

• College Information — Access important information about colleges, courses, fees, placements, facilities, and other decision-making factors in one place.

• Cutoff & Admission Information — Explore historical cutoff data across different categories and seat pools to better understand admission possibilities.

• College & Career Tools — Tools such as college matching and rank/percentile-based discovery help students narrow down relevant options.

• Student & Alumni Connections — Students can connect with other students or alumni to get perspectives that aren’t available through official college websites.

• Blogs & Guides — Practical content covering admissions, entrance exams, courses, colleges, careers, and student life.

• Accommodation Discovery — Students can explore PG and accommodation options near colleges, including different budget ranges.

• Counselling Support — Students can access guidance when they need additional help making education and admission decisions.

Who is it for?

CollegeForMe is primarily built for students and families navigating higher education decisions, especially students preparing for entrance exams, comparing colleges, selecting courses, or planning their next step after school.

The platform is particularly useful for students who don’t know exactly which college they should target and need to compare multiple options based on their academic profile, preferences, budget, location, and career goals.

Why it matters

Choosing a college is a high-impact decision, but the process is still surprisingly fragmented.

Students often have to jump between dozens of websites and rely on incomplete information, random search results, social media posts, or advice from people they know personally.

CollegeForMe aims to simplify that process by bringing relevant information, discovery tools, student perspectives, and guidance together in one experience.

Our goal isn’t simply to create another college listing website.

We want to build a platform where students can discover their options, understand them, compare them, and make more informed education decisions.

What makes CollegeForMe different

CollegeForMe combines structured college data with practical decision-making tools and student-oriented experiences.

Instead of treating college discovery as a simple search problem, we’re building toward a more complete journey — from discovering colleges and understanding admission possibilities to comparing options, speaking with students, finding accommodation, and getting guidance when needed.

The long-term vision is to become a trusted digital companion for students throughout their higher-education journey.

CollegeForMe — helping students make better-informed decisions about what comes next.

Retention
the kind of thing that you start using when you're like 18 and or 16 or whatever like your first job until you die and you've got an a state that you're like leaving to your kids we're like building a company that needs to be around for the lifetime of its users so yeah so that needs to be calm

Design for the customer's lifetime, not the product's

Josh frames Maybe as the personal-finance OS someone uses from first paycheck through estate planning. 'Lifetime of the user,' not 'lifetime of the product,' rules out hypergrowth tactics and forces a calm business that survives 60 years. Pick problems where the customer's needs evolve continuously — the software is then never finished, and retention is baked into the problem itself.

Pricing
at six Monon Mark she came to me she's like cavon when are you going to start charging people and I was like oh I woke up at that moment... a student or member whatever you call them uh in my program and then couple days ago she sent a message to me she's like Kavon like of all the value that you create you're charging like penis you're not charging enough

Have an outside partner who pushes you to charge more — creators self-limit prices

Solo creators systematically under-price because they're inside their own work. Arvid's partner Danielle doubled his product prices with no drop in volume; Kevon's wife Lydia forced him to start charging at month 6; later a student told him directly he was undercharging. Designate one specific person — spouse, customer-advisor, mastermind buddy — whose job is to audit your pricing twice a year and tell you the uncomfortable answer. Without that voice, your prices stay low forever.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
