About

16Traits is a free English-language website for exploring how well a personality type fits your everyday preferences. It offers 16 type-specific questionnaires, each with 20 questions across four everyday scenarios. Choose a type you already identify with or want to explore, then answer according to how you would usually respond. After completing a questionnaire, you receive a similarity score, explanatory results and a shareable result card. There is no account, subscription or payment required to take a test or view your results. The scenario format gives you concrete situations to reflect on instead of only abstract trait labels. 16Traits is designed for self-reflection and conversation. Its scores describe how your answers fit the questionnaire framework; they are not a clinical diagnosis or a probability that a personality label is correct.

We received not from Bill Gates but from someone pretty close to him — you need to bring it down and stop running, and that was such a nightmare... as soon as we moved the ad the account went from spending 100 to spending 10. I make sure that you have at least four or five creatives that are working at the same time.

One Bill Gates ad carried Blinkist's account — its C&D collapsed spend 10x

Blinkist had one Bill Gates ad creative carrying nearly all of their Facebook spend. A legal threat forced its removal and the account collapsed from 100 to 10 in spend because Facebook's algorithm lost its event volume. Always keep 4-5 winning creatives live concurrently so any one takedown leaves a backup — and avoid identifiable famous figures.

Post-IDFA, subscription is not enough. I look at it across three lenses: subscription is my core, ads is my secondary, and one-time purchases or upsells is another avenue. I start with Revenue as my North Star since I think that's the best metric for a company.

Revenue Is the Only North Star — Subscription + Ads + One-Time Are Three Levers, Not One

Ryan Beck argues that post-IDFA, consumer subscription apps need to think about monetization in three buckets simultaneously: subscription (recurring revenue), ads (ad-supported tier for non-subscribers), and one-time purchases (consumables, content bundles). Duolingo is his example: subs + ads + gems. Revenue — not any individual KPI — is the North Star because it integrates all three levers and avoids local optimization that looks good in isolation but misses the full picture.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
