NotchLive

Private live captions and meeting intelligence for Mac

AI & Machine Learning·Productivity·Communication

About

NotchLive is a native Mac app that turns audio from meetings, calls, videos, podcasts, lectures, browser tabs, and microphone speech into live captions. Speech recognition runs locally with WhisperKit and CoreML, so NotchLive does not join calls as a meeting bot or upload audio to its own cloud transcription service.

Use system audio, microphone audio, or both. Captions can sit in the MacBook notch or a compact top-center bar, and Ghost Mode can keep the caption interface out of screen shares and screen recordings while captions continue running for you.

Free includes unlimited live captions, local speech models, audio source controls, and keyboard shortcuts. The $14.99 one-time Pro upgrade adds real-time translation where macOS supports it, local session history, TXT, Markdown, and JSON transcript export, Voice Notes with raw and AI-cleaned views, and private Meeting Intelligence on supported Macs. Meeting Intelligence turns caption evidence into current focus, key points, open questions, action items, key moments, and saved summaries without adding another participant to the meeting.

NotchLive supports macOS 14 or later, works on notched and non-notched Macs, and is built for people who want to follow spoken audio privately without another subscription.

Your most important uh page point and value proposition goes to the header then there's social proof then your most important emotional benefits then the teachers i think the most successful advertisers we work with are very very intentional about what that web page is looking like and they also test rigorously.

Structure Your Landing Page Intentionally — Header, Social Proof, Emotional Benefits, Then Features

Shamanth's team found that generic 'homepage-style' landing pages underperform versus pages built with a deliberate hierarchy. The formula: lead with the single strongest value claim in the header, stack social proof next, then emotional benefits, then feature specifics. Many apps send paid traffic to their marketing homepage and wonder why web flows don't convert — the page wasn't designed for a cold acquisition audience.

Pricing
if your pricing is very high let's say 80 90 bucks a year you're going to have a hard time converting these people because they're just not as high intent and don't have as much purchasing power so your pricing what your pay wall looks like in the onboarding needs to be really synced up with the ads you're running

Align your paywall price with the Meta placement — a $90/yr price on Reels traffic will destroy conversion

UGC short-form Reels ads attract younger, lower-purchasing-power users — pairing that placement with an $80-90/year paywall is a recipe for wasted spend. Burke's framework: understand who each placement delivers (Reels is close to TikTok audience, Facebook feed is older and higher intent), then make sure the paywall price matches their willingness to pay.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
