What is Vocal Separator?

Vocal Separator is a free online vocal remover and stem splitter for recordings you own or have permission to process. You upload an audio file, the service separates it, you listen to the result on the same page, and you download WAV files.

Core capabilities. In two-track mode, Vocal Separator splits a song into a vocals track and an instrumental track. In four-track mode (the Stem Splitter) it splits a song into vocals, drums, bass and other. Both modes output WAV files, and four-track stems are packaged as a ZIP. You can preview the tracks before downloading. Supported input formats are MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and OGG, up to 10 minutes and 100 MB per file on the free tier.

Free tier. Using the tool is free and does not need an account or a card. Each browser can run up to 5 separation jobs per day, and the limit resets at 00:00 UTC. Results can be downloaded for 55 minutes after processing finishes.

Pricing. The model is freemium. The site also describes an optional one-time Minute Pack for 9.99 USD with no auto-renewal.

Who it is for. Musicians and music learners who work with their own recordings: singers making a backing track, bass players and drummers removing their instrument from a mix, and producers isolating a vocal or drum part from a recording they have the rights to use.

Company. Vocal Separator is made by Auralis Labs LLC, based in Wyoming, United States. Contact: [email protected].

Idea validation
My idea at the time was to download and try existing apps and I noticed a common theme in the user reviews that there was this gap when it came to identifying what a panic attack is and also solutions for how to basically get through a panic attack in the moment.

Mine Competitor App-Store Reviews For The Same Unmet Need Repeated Over And Over

Anya validated Rooted by downloading every existing panic-attack app and mining the user reviews for unmet needs. The recurring complaint — no clear explanation of what a panic attack is or how to stop one in the moment — became the wedge for her MVP.

Pricing
What you charge for is things that break the rules of the game that if everybody were doing them it would ruin the experience across the ecosystem but if a few people were doing them you would generate revenue and it would create an honest balance a more honest balance in the ecosystem.

Paywall Design as Game Theory: Charge Only for Behaviors That Break the Ecosystem

Phil Schwarz describes Tinder's paywall philosophy as pure game theory: unlimited right swipes degrade match quality for everyone, so limiting free swipes and putting unlimited swipes behind a paywall simultaneously improves ecosystem health and generates revenue. Passport (location-change) worked the same way — fine for a few travelers, destructive if universal. This framework transfers to any two-sided or network-effect app: find behaviors that are fine at low frequency but harmful at scale, then monetize them.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
