TeamRally
Plan company events and team celebrations in a breeze.
What is TeamRally?
TeamRally is a lightweight team culture and event management tool built for small and mid-sized remote and hybrid companies (roughly 50–150 people).
It replaces the typical chaos of Google Forms, Excel sheets, and Slack pings that HR teams use to coordinate company events — offsites, retreats, holiday parties, and virtual team hangouts. Employees interact through tools they already use like Basecamp and Slack, while HR gets a clean dashboard to manage RSVPs, dietary preferences, logistics, and post-event feedback.
A key feature is the Preference Vault — employee preferences like dietary requirements and T-shirt sizes are stored once and pre-filled automatically for every future event, so HR never has to ask the same questions twice.
Beyond events, TeamRally keeps team culture alive between events through Moments — collaborative digital cards the whole team signs for birthdays, work anniversaries, and other milestones — and lightweight recurring touchpoints like virtual hangouts and team check-ins.The product is built Slack and Basecamp-native, meaning most employee interaction happens inside the tools they already live in, with TeamRally acting as the intelligent backend that remembers everything and keeps HR organised.

Optimization comes much after your product market fit is there… we had product market fit in a big way on desktop but it took some years to kind of get that same stickiness on mobile where we saw okay our mobile apps our iPad apps are now like at a point where we can now start doing optimization so I think now the pendulum is turning.
Optimization Only Starts After Product-Market Fit — Not Before
Microsoft had MMP tools early but couldn't get value from them because the mobile apps hadn't found product-market fit yet. Ramit's lesson: don't pay for growth infrastructure before the product is sticky. Once mobile PMF clicked, the same tools became high-ROI. Sequencing matters — optimize only what's already working.
There are ways to do it because of the beauty of apps, which is you can measure retention and you can measure churn and you can measure repeated customers and you can measure conversion of free to paying users. So you can pretty accurately predict how the app's going to do as long as you have maybe six to nine months of data.
6-9 months of cohort data is enough to defend a valuation
Buyers discount apps younger than 12 months because they lack a full resubscription cycle, but six to nine months of clean cohort data is enough to model future retention and put a defensible value on the business. Track churn, repeat-purchase rate, and free-to-paid conversion from day one so the data exists when an offer arrives.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
