sqr.art
Artistic QR codes that encode your picture into the code itself and stay fully scannable.
What is sqr.art?
sqr.art is an artistic QR code generator that turns a picture into a QR code. Instead of pasting a logo on top of a standard code, the image is encoded into the QR data and error-correction bits, and every generated code is verified by a real decoder before download. The QR code can contain a link, WiFi access credentials, or a SEPA bank transfer that banking apps pre-fill.
The product suits people who want a branded or personal QR code that still works reliably, such as couples for weddings, restaurants, hotels, packaging designers, and anyone printing business cards or tips and donation codes. A free live preview lets you test the code with your own phone before paying.
What sets it apart is the editing workflow and the link handling. A visual editor lets you crop the image, paint the areas that matter most, and protect zones like a face or logo. Link codes use a short sqr.art address, so the destination can be changed after printing, and link codes include scan statistics and CSV export. Print-ready SVG output is provided for scaling to large sizes. Pricing is 5 € per code paid once, with optional Pro and Business plans for more codes, while the generation engine is open source.

When it comes to software, instead of me sacrificing other resources that can be more valuable than equity such as my time, I would trade that any day to get access to someone else's distribution even if it's at 50%. 50% of $20K MRR is better than 50% of zero MRR.
Trade 50% equity for instant distribution — 50% of $20K MRR beats 100% of $0
Hassam's mental model: equity is cheap, time is expensive. He gave up roughly half the company to Legacy X but in return got day-zero paying customers, validation, and a coaching org actively selling to its own members. The deal floor was high enough that handing over half the upside still beat years of solo audience-building from scratch.
One cool thing about Discord is you can scroll through and copy and paste days and days worth of chat history Copy and paste it into Chatbutt and give it a prompt saying "List me all of the pain points that these people have talked about over the last couple days." You want to be looking for recurring pain points because those are the ones that would have more demand.

Sam's validation method turns passive community lurking into structured market research — no surveys, no cold outreach. By feeding raw Discord conversation into an LLM and asking specifically for recurring pain points, he could spot real demand signals before writing a single line of code.
