What is Skysay?

Skysay is a phone number API for AI agents.

Skysay gives AI assistants and voice agents a phone layer: phone numbers, inbound and outbound calls, SMS and campaigns. Teams can manage voice agents and inspect workspace call activity through its hosted MCP connection. It uses Streamable HTTP with OAuth or scoped API keys, tenant-bound permissions and separate authorization for supported actions. Calling, messaging and number provisioning may incur usage-based charges. Number availability, capabilities and verification requirements vary by country. 100+ countries covered.

Mindset
The app industry — and the proliferation of subscription apps specifically — Meta and Google deserve almost as much credit as Apple for the variety of apps today. They empowered app developers to reach those audiences more effectively. What we see as the app industry owes a debt of gratitude to Meta and to Google.

Personalized advertising created the subscription app economy — the data is the product

Without granular audience targeting, niche subscription apps can't reach their first 10K users profitably. TV and radio are economically impossible for a $10/month wellness app. Personalized advertising is the infrastructure that made the subscription app economy viable — protecting it matters for anyone building in the space.

The bottleneck is the capacity of a human brain to absorb the most valuable parts of your product experience. As your product gets more bloated and complex sure absolute value goes up but the noise and complexity also goes up which means your value to noise ratio may drastically decline.

Value-to-noise ratio: the human brain is the bottleneck — prune features to let the best ones breathe

Shipping fast is table stakes in the AI era, but Phil Carter warns that unchecked feature growth destroys the value-to-noise ratio. Adding features competes for the same cognitive bandwidth users have to absorb what makes the product valuable. His prescription: continuously analyze feature engagement and its correlation with long-term subscriber retention, then ruthlessly prune anything not contributing — keeping hero features loud and clear rather than buried under clutter.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
