What is Simply Fluent?

A reading app that helps you learn a language by yourself. Book by book, you go from looking up every other word to reading whole pages without stopping. Choose from short stories and books in 45 languages, or bring your own book. Translate any word or phrase to see the meaning it has in that sentence. Save a word and its meaning is shown above it in every book after that. Your saved words become flashcards, and you can listen as the app reads a book aloud.

Audience
I have a service called F5bot that is free that lets you track different keywords on Reddit. Every time I get an email with a notification that a new post or comment was added I just go there and reply. You need to try to be not spammy and really give value to the users, and if your product can be a solution for their problems then you recommend your product.

F5bot keyword alerts turn Reddit into a free ongoing acquisition channel

After the marketplace, Leandro's second biggest growth channel was Reddit monitoring. He set up keyword alerts for terms like 'CSV', 'sheets', and 'Google Sheets' in the Notion subreddit, then engaged personally in every relevant thread as the founder.

Distribution
The best consumer subscription companies, almost without exception, have really robust organic acquisition strategies as their primary growth lever, and they only use paid ads as a supplement. They're either growing through word of mouth, or through content — like Quizlet through longtail SEO with user-generated flashcard content, or AllTrails through hyper-local search.

Best subscription companies treat organic acquisition as primary and paid as a supplement

Carter distills the pattern across Quizlet, AllTrails, Duolingo, Strava, and Life360: each built a flywheel of organic acquisition before scaling paid ads. Companies whose first and primary growth loop is paid UA hit a ceiling because LTV/CAC degrades as they exhaust their highest-intent audiences. The moat is always the organic engine.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
