SeatSolver
Seating chart maker that reads your guest list spreadsheet
What is SeatSolver?
SeatSolver is a free seating chart maker for weddings, events and classrooms that works from the guest list you already have. Drop in an .xlsx or .csv, or paste from Google Sheets, with your own column names, plus-ones and a "do not seat with" column. It shows which column it read as what, so you can check its reading before anything is solved. Name the pairs who must or cannot sit together and get a table plan that holds every rule; couples and households are placed as blocks. When guests drop out after you printed place cards, it re-solves while keeping the rest of the room almost as it was, and names who moved. Export a seating chart, place cards, escort list, table signs and a floor plan as PDF, plus CSV. No account, no guest limit, and your list never leaves your browser.

What other founders did to grow.
2722 dispatches from hundreds of founders, pulled from the week's best podcasts.
I have a 14-day free trial which allows people to try things out set things up and decide if it's a good fit. And then from there they either pay $15 monthtomonth or they pay basically $10 a month if they pay for an annual plan.
Use A 14-Day Free Trial As The Setup Phase So Users Self-Qualify Before Paying
Tech Lockdown gates a multi-step setup (content policy, VPN device connect) behind a 14-day free trial so users can fully configure the product before the paywall hits. The trial doubles as onboarding, ensuring people only pay once they have proven the fit to themselves and lived inside the configured setup.
What some founders do is get in a big hurry to get it to market. We made sure that what we built would scale and that we could change things out as we moved along.
Design your codebase so individual vendors can be swapped without rebuilding
After painfully migrating from a failing transcription vendor to AssemblyAI (cutting costs in half and gaining features), Vince codified a rule: architect each integration as an isolated module. If you design the seams correctly from the start, replacing a vendor is a week's work instead of a quarter's crisis. It's the vendor equivalent of loose coupling.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
