About

Revenue Calculators is a free browser-based suite for creators, operators, marketers, freelancers and small teams who need quick business planning estimates without opening a spreadsheet or signing up for another account.

The site includes practical calculators for profit margin, ROI, monthly recurring revenue, creator earnings, advertising budgets, break-even analysis, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, return on ad spend and CPM.

Each calculator is designed to be useful on its own: users can change inputs directly in the browser, see results immediately, copy the result, and read the formula, example scenario and FAQ below the tool. The goal is to help people sanity-check assumptions before they spend budget, price an offer, run ads or plan growth.

Everything runs in the browser and the site does not require a login or collect personal business data.

Idea validation
what if we just focused on this segment of the market right like just doing the knowledge-based thing because at the end of that when we started looking for tools to do this there didn't seem to be a lot of other tools doing this exact thing we figured we could just focus on this aspect of it make it play well with these other tools but just focus on doing this one thing really well

Scope down to one segment of a crowded category and hold the line

KnowledgeOwl started as a full help-desk ambition inside another company, then narrowed to just the knowledge-base slice when an internal technical writer surfaced the gap. Picking one segment and integrating with the rest makes the yes/no calls obvious: not a forum tool, not light ticketing, not a chatbot. The constraint compounds — going narrow reveals how deep even one slice really is.

Audience
Someone made this video before we ever reached out to them. It wasn't about Opal — it was just about the space. They wrote back and said actually I use Opal and I love it. We said can we use this video as an ad and they said yeah sure.

Mission-Aligned Creators Who Already Use the Product Outperform Agency Creative

Opal's best-performing ad was filmed by a creator who had never been paid by the company. It didn't even show the product — it captured the mission of reclaiming time from your phone. Opal repurposed it with minor tweaks and it dominated their campaigns. Finding creators who already use the app and care about the problem proved more reliable than agency or contractor creative.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
