What is Picmim?
Picmim writes social media posts for your business. You paste your website URL, and Picmim reads your services, tone, and opening hours to build a brand profile. Each week it picks a topic, writes the captions, makes the images, and sends them to you for review.
Approving is quick. Swipe right to approve and left to skip, and edit anything before it goes out. Approved posts land on your calendar and publish on their own at the time you choose. If you are busy, you can switch on 'Approve for me'. Pim then sends a heads-up after a day and schedules the posts after two days. This option stays off until you turn it on, and you can pull any post back until it goes out.
The product is aimed at small businesses such as clubs, shops, studios, restaurants, and local services that want to post consistently without spending hours on content. The page says it is already used by 500+ small business owners and that 10,000+ posts have been published.
Picmim also learns from the posts you approve, skip, and edit, and shows you what it has learned. The page describes the goal as going from a blank calendar to a week of approved posts in about one minute.

We reached out to a bunch of plant retailers — online, in person, brick-and-mortar — and basically said 'we will help your customers have a positive outcome with your product, can you put in our little QR code flyer.' Now when these retailers ship out a new plant every one has this little QR code in it. It led to our first 15,000 users.
QR codes in retailer plant shipments drove first 15,000 users
Greg solved 'I just got a plant, now what?' so Alex partnered with plant retailers to slip a branded QR code into every shipped plant. Unboxing became the install moment — and the pitch was framed around the retailer's outcome (helping their customer succeed), not Greg's growth. The single channel produced their first 15K users with zero ad spend.
It took me around a month to build the MVP and I gave it to my wrestling club to beta test... the first version was basically an app where the coach was supposed to give the wake up plans to the athletes however I realized that there was a lot of friction... so during July and August I changed the whole concept of the app to make it so that the app would give the weight cut plans to the athletes instead of the coach.
Ship The MVP In A Month, Then Flip The Whole User Model When Beta Testers Won’t Adopt
Ethan built v1 in a month using Cursor and ChatGPT, handed it to his wrestling club, and watched them not use it. Instead of iterating on the wrong concept, he flipped the entire flow (coach-driven to athlete-driven) over two months and tested the new plans on his own body before relaunching. Pivot the user model, not just the features.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
