OFF Social
Meet people nearby and do something together
What is OFF Social?
OFF Social is an app from Beyond Digital for meeting people nearby and doing something together. The idea fits on the homepage: your life, not your feed. Meet people around you. Make a plan. Make a memory.
Create a local profile and OFF discovers other OFF users who are physically close to you. You can exchange messages and invitations, start a hangout, and choose a game or activity as a group. The catalogue lists 20 activities, from quick rounds to two-player games; a few, such as drinking-themed ones, are opt-in.
OFF connects devices using Bluetooth Low Energy and, where supported and enabled, Wi-Fi Aware or a local network. Ordinary play and messaging do not need an OFF online account or an operator-hosted chat server.
The iOS beta is open on TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/D91XcNxR

Brazil is one of our biggest markets — a couple months ago when we launched the website in Portuguese we saw a huge lift in installs in Brazil. Really really makes a difference.
Localizing the Website to Portuguese Drove a Huge Lift in Brazilian Installs
Captions serves customers in all 186 App Store regions and treats localization as a growth lever, not just a polish step. Translating the website into Portuguese produced a measurable spike in Brazilian installs. The same logic applies to the help center, App Store listing, and in-app copy — localized support is not just a customer service play, it is a top-of-funnel acquisition multiplier.
You're not going to ever convince some random software engineer to work on something with you that is your idea without paying them a lot of money, nor should they… It was working with Nate one-on-one for years.
You won't convince a random engineer to build your idea — co-founders come from years of relationships
Cold-pitching a technical co-founder rarely works because the engineer carries all the build risk. Compounding relationships — staying in touch with old colleagues, helping strangers for years — is what produces the partner who'll equity-split because they already trust you.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
