MoodLyst for iPhone
Share your mood and the music that defines it.
About
MoodLyst is a love letter from me to you. It allows the sharing of your daily mood with others so that you can recognise the now, and see how far you've come. I hope it makes you feel better. 😊
How it works:
Apple Music: Create a mood entry, and MoodLyst automatically identifies what you’re playing to pair it with your feeling.
Spotify: Simply copy a song link and paste it into the app to fetch the track metadata instantly.
Siri Shortcut: Just say "Hey Siri, add this track to MoodLyst" - and watch as Siri automagically adds your current playing song on Apple Music to your listening history. It even works when your iPhone is locked or if you're talking to a different device, such as the bedroom or kitchen HomePod.
"Shake to Add" instantly brings a fun element to saving a mood as now you just need to give your iPhone a little shake and MoodLyst will auto-add what you're listening to on Apple Music to your MoodLyst.
Visual Cues: Apple Music tracks appear in red, while Spotify tracks appear in green.
Privacy First: Your data is yours. All moods and song history are stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and no one can see your entries but you. There is also the option to share your mood or individual listening history with others - via iMessage or AirDrop.
Feedback:
I hope MoodLyst helps you recognize how far you’ve come. Please send suggestions or bugs to @moodlystcom.

As long as you're not doing shady things, you don't have to worry that much. Make content that people click on and find useful — it will work. The ones I did that were intentionally SEO smart didn't do that well. The ones that were just really good posts and contained good content still generate traffic for us.
Don't overthink SEO — make stuff worth clicking
Counter-intuitive lesson from RevenueCat's blog: posts engineered for keyword optimization underperformed posts written purely to be useful and shareable. Quality of read and dwell time still win the long game — stop fixating on keyword density and just write something worth clicking through to.
Essentially what we ended up doing was triaging sort of a different funnel metric each quarter right so one quarter is like we gotta tackle bounce rate all right now we gotta tackle sign up rate now we've gotta tackle pro conversion rate now we gotta tackle retention.
One Funnel Metric Per Quarter — Serial Focus Turned A Crappy App Into A Profitable One
From 2015 to 2017, AllTrails worked through bounce rate, sign-up rate, pro conversion, and retention — one per quarter — on minimal capital. By end of 2017 they hit profitability. This serial focus is the anti-pattern to roadmaps that spread effort across everything simultaneously. Constraint created clarity: what is the single weakest metric, and can it be meaningfully moved in 90 days?
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
