What is Microlaunch?

Microlaunch is a launch platform for makers and startups, built for indie makers launching their first SaaS. Most launch sites bet everything on a single launch day. On Microlaunch, products get 30 days of continuous visibility, so makers can collect feedback and land their first customers over a whole month.

How a launch works: makers submit their product and it gets featured on Microlaunch. For the next 30 days the community sees it, and other builders try it, support it and leave honest feedback, roasts and testimonials. Makers use that feedback and social proof to improve their product and sell it. When they ship a major new feature, they can re-launch to share the update.

The monthly leaderboard: launches are ranked on a monthly leaderboard, which also has a weekly view. Each product shows its rank and its scores for the idea, the product and the roasts. New startups go live every month, so visitors always have fresh products to discover, try and support.

Deals: the Microlaunch marketplace lists exclusive deals on curated tools and resources for founders, such as lifetime offers and discounts, along with startups for sale. Makers can publish their own deals to reach the people browsing the platform.

Stories and hackathons: Maker Stories, the Microlaunch blog, shares stories from the makers who launch on the platform, and Microlaunch hosts hackathons with partners.

Bootstrapping
don't try to Outsource marketing until you have product Market fit even if it's just in a really tiny vertical I feel like I see a lot of companies stumble over themselves and or put a marketer in an unfair position if you are brand new and you don't necessarily know your message you don't really know who your ideal customers are

Don't outsource marketing until you have product-market fit

Hiring a marketer (even fractional) before PMF puts them in an unfair position. Until the message and ICP are nailed down, the founder is the only one who can find the signal. Even a tiny vertical — say 7 of 20 underwater basket weavers — counts as fit and unlocks the hire.

Content
I don't create content where I'm just like let me tell you dog about my failure like because that's kind of depressing... I will always get to the okay here's what I've learned from this and here's why this has made me a better person or or or a smarter entrepreneur... being able to say here's a bad thing that happened or a failure that I created and here's how I turned it into something that made me better because of it that is gritty as hell

Lead with the lesson, not the failure — that's how vulnerability builds authority

Sharing failure without the takeaway just reads as depressing oversharing. The structure that builds authority: "Here's the bad thing that happened. Here's how horrible it felt. Here's the stupid stuff I did. And here is the specific lesson that made me a smarter operator because of it." That last beat is what distinguishes vulnerability-as-content from venting — and it's also what protects your ego on the way out.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
