Macswarm
Hosted Mac Pods for Claude Code and Codex
Developer Tools·Data & Infrastructure
What is Macswarm?
Macswarm gives Claude Code and Codex hosted Mac Pods with the Latest Xcode and pre-booted iOS Simulators. Coding agents can build and test iOS apps, launch them in Simulator and inspect screenshots in a hosted macOS environment. Separate git worktrees keep changes from parallel agent tasks apart. Usage is billed per Pod-hour. The Free plan includes a one-time allocation of 3 Pod-hours; paid plans add Pod-hours. Macswarm is in early access, with onboarding in signup order. The public ios-agent-kit repository on GitHub includes an ios-build-and-test skill for agent workflows.

In January 2022, 2,000 new subscription apps were launched per month. In January 2026 — 14,700. Over 7x increase in the number of subscription apps in a month. Most of that growth is concentrated in the last six months.
Vibe-coding caused a 7x supply shock in subscription apps — demand hasn't caught up yet
The cost collapse from vibe-coding tools sent new subscription app launches from 2,000/month to 14,700/month — a 7x supply shock in four years. Eiting predicts a lag before demand responds: attention is a fixed resource, and a flood of new apps means fiercer competition for the same eyeballs in the short term. Long-term he's bullish — more apps should unlock more spending — but the immediate effect is a tighter fight for distribution.
From the start of the onboarding you have to choose your character to get started
Force Character Selection at the Start to Create Immediate Identity Investment
Locked is a gamified fitness app with leaderboards, XP, badges, and levels. Rather than starting with habit setup or permissions, the very first onboarding step is picking a character. This creates personal identity investment before the user ever sees the core features, making early abandonment far less likely.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
