What is LaunchpadOS?

LaunchpadOS is an operating system for Indian D2C brands. It puts orders, stock and settlements behind one login, so founders can see what shipped, what is stuck and what needs attention without juggling Seller Central, Shopify, spreadsheets, courier portals and accounting tools. Amazon orders sync automatically, while other channels arrive through CSV or Excel uploads.

It is aimed at founders of Indian D2C brands who spend their days on data entry and reconciliation instead of running the business. The Command Center shows revenue, orders, low stock and expected cash in one view, and the Settlement Tracker breaks down expected cash, fees and TDS/TCS per channel. Built-in GST, TDS and TCS handling is included, and the Listing Reconciliation feature flags price and stock mismatches between your catalogue and connected channels.

What sets it apart is that it sits above Amazon, your website and your courier rather than replacing them. The Insight Engine shows the evidence behind each finding and suggests an action, but it never acts on its own. Estimates that depend on assumptions are labelled, and the assumptions can be edited.

The product is currently in private beta with 100 Indian D2C brands and is free during the beta. Shopify and Meta connections are waiting on platform app approval, so until then analytics run on uploaded exports. Paid plans start only after the beta ends, with advance notice.

Retention
Nearly a third of all subscription cancellations on Google Play are involuntary billing failures. Google will let you use prepaid cards. Then your balance runs out and the billing fails. There's not an auto-recovery path like there is on iOS.

Google Play billing failures cause nearly a third of cancellations — enable grace period immediately

SOSA 2026 data shows ~30% of Google Play cancellations are involuntary — billing failures, expired cards, prepaid account drains — not voluntary churn. Unlike iOS, Android has no automatic card recovery flow. The fix is straightforward: enable Google Play grace period and account hold, add lifecycle emails prompting users to update payment, and use RevenueCat billing-failure hooks. This is recoverable revenue being left on the table.

Audience
If you manage to identify who are these small business one-person business solopreneurs they typically have a completely different value — because it's their business the price sensitivity is obviously very different from somebody who's just trying to make their photo look better.

Identify consumer vs. prosumer/solopreneur users — their LTV is categorically different

Many apps serve both casual consumers and one-person businesses without distinguishing between them. Thomas Petit finds that solopreneurs and small-team users — people whose livelihood depends on the app's output — show dramatically higher LTV, lower churn, and different price sensitivity than purely recreational users. Identifying which onboarding answers or behaviour patterns predict this persona allows you to steer ad platforms toward acquiring more of them.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
