What is IO Tools?
IO Tools (iotools.cloud) is a free collection of 1,500+ small, fast online tools that run in your browser, with new tools added every day. Convert files and units, format JSON, YAML and config files, generate keys, passwords and text, calculate anything from A/B test significance to CGPA, edit images (background remover, crop, blur), and use developer utilities like API secret scanners and hash tools. Guided collections walk you through common workflows such as debugging an API request. No installs, no accounts, no cost. Browser extensions and integrations available.

I actually started with a building public community... after four months I shut it down... maybe I can do a challenge... maybe I can try teaching so if a community for building in public didn't work maybe I should really just break things down and walk people through how to actually do it but I didn't jump into course creation I did a challenge first... I went into uh live teaching so a cohort-based course... and only recently I was thinking maybe it's time to switch
Iterate your product format toward what fits the creator, not what's popular
Kevon's sequence: pure community ($5/month, killed at month 4) → 30-day challenge → live cohort course → interactive video lessons → video+challenge hybrid. Each iteration kept what worked and replaced what didn't. Don't commit to a single product format because it's the "right" creator-economy answer. Audit every 4-6 months: what feels like a slog for you (kill), what energizes you (double down), what do students consistently get stuck on (replace).
subscriptions by themselves they're just a bit outdated in a sense that we're seeing kind of more and more brands offer some variation... BetterMe where they add on Pilates uh kind of different props and stuff like that when you get a subscription with them
Subscription-only is becoming outdated — hybrid models are rising
All 11 subscription experts independently named hybrid monetization as the top 2025 trend. BetterMe ships physical Pilates props alongside its digital subscription; AI apps layer usage-based credits on subscriptions to handle LLM cost variability; niche apps add brand partnerships; utility apps use ads as a subscription conversion driver. Subscription-only revenue is increasingly seen as leaving money on the table, especially when funding is tight.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
