What is HeyReagent?

HeyReagent connects your own LinkedIn account to the AI app you already use. You sign in, connect LinkedIn once, and give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n or any MCP client one address: https://api.heyreagent.com/mcp. There is nothing to install or keep running.

From then on your AI can read your inbox and tell you who is waiting on you, send messages and connection invitations, search people, and read, write and comment on posts. There are 97 actions in all, each kind with a daily limit.

The Free plan has every Connect action, for working live. Connect ($29.99 a month) keeps LinkedIn connected so scheduled workflows run. The Agent plan ($499 a month after 7 days free) runs LinkedIn for you: it answers your inbox in your voice, follows up, and finds who to talk to, and you approve what it sends.

HeyReagent is an independent service. It is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn.

Mindset
do so much cold mailing cold messaging honestly what I tell other friends and founders is that if you haven't been banned in these platforms at least two times you haven't tried enough

If platforms haven't banned you twice, you haven't outreached enough

Set your outreach effort threshold by platform bans, not by message counts. If Instagram, LinkedIn, or X hasn't flagged you twice for excessive DMs during validation, you're being too polite or too slow. The ban is the leading indicator that you've finally hit enough volume to get statistically meaningful response signal — and an indicator you're bumping against the ceiling of what a single founder can do manually before you need to switch tactics.

Mindset
the sort of challenges of of not needing to make money means that you you also aren't necessarily optimizing for it or at least the speed of it constraints sort of they breed creativity for me it's the con can be like sort of a oh we'll get around to the moneymaking part instead of like we have to get around to the moneymaking part

No urgency is its own failure mode — manufacture artificial deadlines

Post-exit money removed the forcing function — and Josh names that as the harder problem, not the easier one. Without a deadline, 'we'll monetize eventually' replaces 'we have to monetize now,' and the product drifts. Manufacture artificial constraints (a launch date, a revenue target by month X, a hard runway cap) so urgency to charge shows up before the project quietly dies of comfort.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
