What is ftak?
ftak is a free Chrome extension for looking things up without leaving the page you're reading.
Double-click or drag over any word or phrase and a small tooltip shows its meaning (grouped by part of speech), a short factual summary from Wikipedia for people, places and ideas, and a map preview when it's a place. Click away and you're back to reading. No tab switching, no copy-paste, no sign-up.
The ftak site also has a PDF reader where you can look up words in a PDF the same way. UPSC aspirants can see related previous-year UPSC questions for text they select in news articles, with a few free each day and more after signing in.
