Focus Write
A local-first writing app in focus mode.
What is Focus Write?
FocusWrite is a free, local-first writing app for modern desktop browsers. It combines a quiet editor with practical tools for sustaining attention, organizing drafts, and exporting finished work.
Reduces visual noise
Standard focus mode dims inactive text. Deep focus mode also centers the current rendered line and temporarily hides surrounding controls while you type.
Keeps drafts organized
Create, rename, search, sort, switch between, and delete multiple documents. Find and replace works inside the active document.
Supports a writing rhythm
Optional synthesized typewriter sounds and five independently adjustable ambient tracks can play without requiring downloaded sound packs.
Works locally first
Documents and settings are saved immediately in browser storage, so an account is not required for the core writing experience.
Syncs when requested
If server is available, signed-in users can synchronize documents through the cloud while local storage remains the immediate source of truth.
Exports cleanly
The Export control opens the browser print workflow with an A4-formatted copy that can be printed or saved as a PDF and EPUB.

if I was doing seven figures ARR... if someone is going to do it that they Pony up upfront like I want a minimum commit of you know 50 Grand up front or 100 Grand a year there's some number if they can't or won't do that then they aren't committed to it
Never white-label without a $50K-100K minimum commit upfront
White-label requests look like free distribution but burn months of engineering and legal work before you find out the partner can only resell two seats. The forcing function: demand a $50K-$100K upfront minimum commit before any work begins. Real partners pay; the time-wasters self-select out. Also: don't consider white-label at all until you're past $5K MRR — the early-stage version of this is always a regret.
what's gonna really improve your business and kind of break through what i refer to as the carrying capacity of the business which is basically when you know churn equals new customers and you basically start leveling out to actually cut through that carrying capacity you need to drive product improvement
To Break Through the Growth Ceiling, Drive Product Improvement — Not Just Better CRM
Every subscription business hits a 'carrying capacity' where churn absorbs all new growth. CRM tweaks, annual plan nudges, and better onboarding emails move the needle 5–10%. To actually break through the ceiling, you need product improvements — better content discovery, data accumulation fed back to users, or expansion into adjacent offerings.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
