FirstBark
A good trainer. A great next step. Find dog training near you.
What is FirstBark?
FirstBark is a US dog training directory. Owners browse by state or city, search near them, and filter by goal (puppy training, obedience, leash training, recall, behavior help, Canine Good Citizen prep), by format (private lessons, group classes, board and train, in-home, day training, online), and by dog age, size, certifications and facilities. Profiles show contact details, hours, photos and reviews where available. Owners compare trainers and contact the business directly. Trainers can add a free listing and manage it from a business account.

We had to figure out what was the right narrow use case that we could onboard people into. Once we converted them on that use case then spoon feed the rest of the product to them kind of one at a time.
Onboard to One Use Case — Spoon-Feed the Rest After Activation
At Dropbox, Sean Ellis found that showing new users everything the product could do actually scared them off. The fix: pick the single narrowest use case most likely to create an aha moment, get users converted on that one thing, then sequentially introduce each additional feature when contextually relevant. Breadth kills activation; narrow + deep opens the door.
The reason we target the same audience is because of the overlap. So users of our one product we don't have to remarket and create a new audience and list to target. We already have that and that exists in our other app. And then when we market to them it's not marketing cold...
Stack Apps For The Same Audience So Launch Two Isn’t A Cold-Marketing Problem
Every new app launches into a warm audience inherited from the prior apps in the same niche. Go Polar users become SunSeek users become Posture AI users — turning launch day into cross-promotion instead of cold acquisition, which is why each subsequent app ramps faster than the last.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
