Deco My Tree
A free online Christmas tree that friends decorate with sealed wishes you open on Dec 25.
What is Deco My Tree?
Deco My Tree is a free online Christmas tree that your friends decorate for you. You create a tree, share its link, and everyone who visits can hang an ornament carrying a personal wish. Wishes stay sealed until Dec 25, so the tree fills up with little surprises all season long. There is nothing to install, since it works in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
It suits friends and group chats, family near and far, classmates and coworkers, and anyone who wants to collect heartfelt notes from the people closest to them. You can share the link in group chats, stories or messages, and the tree offers 8 tree styles, 6 toppers and 20 hand-drawn ornaments to choose from.
What sets it apart is the privacy and surprise. Only the tree's owner can read a wish by default, wishes can be sent anonymously, and anything unkind can be reported from the wish itself. When the branches fill up, the tree grows another page of ornaments so no friend is left out.
Creating a tree, sharing it and hanging wishes are all free. Friends need to sign in once to send a wish, and you need an account only to save your tree.

It took me 5 months to build it and launch it… that's a mistake because your first version will be bad anyway. Today I try to launch in one month or less. I quickly build something really small with one feature. I don't build authentication, I don't build payments.
Ship in under a month with one feature — no auth, no payments
Spending five months polishing a first launch is wasted time because v1 is going to be rough regardless. The faster playbook: ship one feature in under a month with no auth and no payments, then layer those in only after real users show up.
Grabbing the post we did on the last step and posting it on multiple subreddits — volume here is super important because that increases the chances of one of your posts getting to the Reddit front page. Let's say that you post on 10 different subreddits and each gets on average around 10k views — that's a total of 100k views already.
Cross-post the same value piece across 10+ subreddits — volume drives front-page odds
Diego found ~30 candidate subs via Reddit Ads targeting (free, no spend required), then cross-posted the same value-first piece across all of them. Two to three posts per week kept him under spam thresholds, and the math is simple: 10 posts × 10K views = 100K free impressions per piece.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
