What is CrawlRadar?

People don't only Google anymore. They ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini which tool to use, which agency to hire, which product to buy. Before an assistant can recommend your website, its crawlers have to read it. Most site owners can't see any of this: AI crawlers don't run JavaScript, so Google Analytics and other tag-based tools never record them, and visitors sent by AI assistants usually land under "direct" or "unknown".

CrawlRadar shows you whether AI can find, read and recommend your website, and what to fix when it can't.

Key features:

  • AI crawler tracking: every visit from 50+ AI crawlers (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Bingbot…), by bot, by page and over time. See which pages AI reads most, which it never reaches, and when a crawler stops coming.
  • Real or fake bot verification: each visit is checked against the vendor's published IP ranges and marked verified, spoofed, or unchecked, so scrapers in disguise don't inflate your numbers.
  • Why each bot came: crawls are grouped into AI answers (a live fetch because someone just asked a question), indexing, and training. On our own site, only 5 of 514 AI crawls in 30 days were live answers. Those are the visits that matter.
  • AI referral traffic: a lightweight tag (with a cookieless mode) shows the visitors ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Copilot send you, by assistant and by landing page.
  • Page audits with ranked fixes: each page gets a 0–100 score for whether an answer engine can fetch it, trust it and quote it, with fixes ranked by impact, plus a check of which AI crawlers your robots.txt allows.
  • Monitoring and alerts: important pages are re-scanned on a schedule. When something breaks (a noindex, content missing from the HTML, broken structured data), an email tells you exactly what changed and where.
  • Compare periods: see whether AI attention grows after a launch, a redesign or a content push.

Use cases

  • SaaS founders: do ChatGPT and Perplexity read your pricing and comparison pages, and do they send you signups?
  • Content sites and bloggers: which articles AI crawls and answers from, and which it ignores.
  • SEO and GEO consultants: hard numbers on AI visibility, AI traffic and fixes for clients.
  • Agencies: up to 10 client sites on one plan, $2 for each extra site.
  • E-commerce and local businesses: make sure the assistants your customers use can read your product and service pages.
  • Developers: confirm that robots.txt, a CDN or bot protection isn't silently blocking AI crawlers.

What makes it stand out

  • It sees what tag-based analytics can't: the collector runs on your server or edge, so it catches crawlers that never run JavaScript.
  • Verified numbers: fake bots are flagged, not counted.
  • Intent, not just hits: it separates the rare live "answer" fetches from bulk indexing and training traffic.
  • From data to fixes: page audits tell you what to change, so it doesn't stop at charts.
  • Fair pricing: you pay for human pageviews only, and AI crawler visits never count against your plan.
  • Fast setup: two snippets (Cloudflare Workers, Next.js, Node/Express, Netlify, Laravel, Django, FastAPI, Rails, server logs), or a WordPress plugin.
  • Privacy-friendly: cookieless mode, no ads, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no selling data.

Pricing: Starter $9/month (1 website), Growth $19/month (10 websites, +$2 per extra site). Both scale with human pageviews, and yearly billing gives 3 months free. 14-day free trial with no credit card, and a full refund within 30 days of your first payment.

Audience
When they launched their new AI powered background feature — not only did they see subscriber conversion rates in the product go up significantly but they also found that by leading with those AI features in ad concepts on Meta and TikTok they got much better performance especially when they put it within the first 6 seconds of the ad.

AI features in ads unlock new markets — PhotoRoom cracked Mexico, Brazil, and Indonesia this way

PhotoRoom had failed to achieve sustainable paid UA in emerging markets because conversion rates were too low for unit economics to work even at low CPMs. Launching an AI-powered background removal feature changed everything: leading with the AI demo in the first 6 seconds caught attention, drove higher CTR, lifted subscription conversion, and fundamentally unlocked new geographies. Carter's lesson: AI features are marketing hooks as much as product features — the wow-moment that drives organic sharing also dramatically improves paid ad performance.

Pricing
The first 10 licenses were super super cheap, and then every 10 after that went up. So there was a little bit of FOMO for those early adopters. Pretty quickly it sold out.

Tier the pre-sale price ladder — first 10 cheapest, each batch goes up

A 50-license pre-sale used a stepped price ladder where the first 10 seats were cheapest and each subsequent batch of 10 cost more. The escalating curve manufactured scarcity-driven FOMO and sold out in 2-3 days, generating $20K before any code shipped.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
