Free concrete takeoff, rebar and CMU from PDF

What is Concrete Mix AI?
Concrete Mix AI turns a plan set into quantities: concrete by element, rebar, block and grout counts, each traced to the drawing, plus the questions for your engineer. Free, no account.
Upload a vector PDF or DWG of the full plan set, with the drawings, the general notes and the specs. Add your email and click the link we send you; the takeoff starts after that click. Every sheet is read: schedules, legends, notes and dimensions. The scale is checked against the drawing's own dimensions, and each item is measured the way the plans and specs say it is paid. When the schedule, the drawings and the specs disagree, the conflict comes back as a question for your engineer instead of a guess.
You get a private link to your takeoff and a quantities CSV by email. The link shows your plan with every counted item colored, the numbers in plain words, "How we got this" for each item, and a 3D build-up and build sequence of the job. A material cost estimate from typical delivered prices for the job's region is included. It is an estimate, not a bid: verify before ordering.
Concrete Mix AI also has 12 free concrete calculators, including mix design based on ACI 211 principles, compressive strength, water-cement ratio, volume, rebar, curing time and pavement thickness, plus free ACI certification practice exams in English and Spanish. Treat every calculator result as a starting point and verify with trial batches, testing and your project's code.

My general bias in the mobile space is towards slimmer products and being okay having multiple products that serve adjacent use cases. Having a product that has eight different features on a smartphone app — it's very hard to get users to understand all of those features and effectively switch between them.
Slim products on mobile beat feature-rich ones — two apps with three features each outperforms one app with eight
Falzon applies a lean-product principle rooted in mobile UX constraints: small screens, limited attention, and one-tap navigation make feature-dense apps cognitively costly. Mosaic consistently favored spinning out adjacent functionality into separate apps rather than cramming it into existing ones. This enabled better user segmentation — different personas could self-select the right product — and better monetization through separate subscriptions. The counter-intuitive outcome: more apps, each doing fewer things well, generated more total revenue and better retention.
nobody wants to go to the gym but everybody wants the results of going to the gym right nobody wants to eat healthy everyone wants the results of eating healthy and writing is sort of no different a lot of times the process of writing isn't always easy or enjoyable or fun but the outcomes are worth it
Sell the outcomes of writing, not the writing itself
Stop pitching "write more!" — almost nobody wants to write. They want zero-CAC customer acquisition, category-defining thought leadership, passive income from digital products, status, or money. Each of those outcomes is achievable through writing, and writing happens to be the most scalable / lowest-barrier vehicle (50% of the internet is text). Lead conversations with the outcome the listener actually wants; writing is the means.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
