CleanWhiteBG
Replace photo backgrounds with pure white or transparency in the cloud, with free 480px previews and no signup.
What is CleanWhiteBG?
CleanWhiteBG is a web tool that replaces photo backgrounds with white or transparency. It handles product photos, portraits and other images, and processing runs in the cloud, so there is no editor to install. Users upload a JPG, PNG or WebP file up to 10MB, choose Standard or Quality mode, and compare the result with the original before downloading.
The tool is aimed at e-commerce sellers who want consistent white backgrounds across a catalog, as well as photographers, designers, social media users and people doing personal edits. Free watermark-free previews up to 480px are available without signup, and signing in unlocks 3 Standard results per UTC day up to 1280px on the long side.
Standard performs automatic background removal, while Quality uses generative AI, reaching up to 2048px, to also clean up overlaid text and enhance detail. Quality may alter labels, colors, textures or shapes, so the site advises checking outputs against the original, especially for product listings. Batch processing of up to 50 images and ZIP uploads require sign-in and credits.
CleanWhiteBG states that it temporarily stores images on Cloudflare, that Quality also sends images to Alibaba Cloud's DashScope service, and that it does not sell images or use them to train its own AI models. Uploads and previews are scheduled for cleanup after 2 hours, and results after 7 days, so users should save a local copy of anything they need.

Now I prefer to launch on Product Hunt in order to get a backlink for SEO — it's a very good backlink, but the visibility is less good than it used to be. So I'm launching on Product Hunt and also on Twitter because I have a big audience there.
Product Hunt is now a backlink play, not a traffic event
Product Hunt visibility has decayed, but the do-follow backlink is still worth the launch. Pair it with the channel where your audience actually lives — Twitter, a newsletter, or wherever you have real reach — to make launch day count.
There's a like a really clear zeitgeist right now the anti-slop zeitgeist and people wanting to use things whether it's in the physical world or digital world that are high quality and thoughtful and doubling down on product and design.
The Anti-Slop Zeitgeist: Design Quality Will Rise As AI Lowers The Floor
Jeff's contrarian take on AI-driven app creation: the bar for design won't fall, it will rise. As AI-generated slop floods the market, users will gravitate toward products with intentional design and distinctive point of view. This creates an opportunity for founders who double down on craft — the same dynamic that made Flighty worth $40/year despite free alternatives.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
