What is B1 Sprechen?
B1 Sprechen is a B1 german speaking exam practice.
B1 Sprechen (b1sprechen.com) is an independent online simulation of the B1 German speaking exam for the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 and telc Deutsch B1. Each simulation is the complete oral exam: preparation with task sheets (15 minutes for Goethe, 20 for telc), then about 15 minutes of conversation covering all three parts in exam order. AI examiners lead the exam, and an AI partner takes the role of the second, equal candidate, so you can practise the pair tasks without a tandem partner. Afterwards you get feedback that quotes sentences you actually said and shows what to practise next, and you can listen to your recording again. There is no score, no pass prediction and no pronunciation assessment. Tasks and topics are our own practice material. You need a computer with a microphone and an up-to-date browser, and an account to buy. Prices: 1 simulation €7.90, 3 for €19.90, 5 for €29.90 (from €5.98 per simulation); one-time payment, no subscription, and one pack works for Goethe and telc. Not affiliated with the Goethe-Institut or telc gGmbH.

some apps are even offering like a pause option um so not only are higher prices kind of becoming the norm like if we want that to work we need to give them that feeling of control
Pause option at cancellation reduces churn without discounting
Offering a pause option at the moment a user intends to cancel gives them a lower-commitment exit that preserves the subscriber relationship for future reactivation. Users retain a sense of control without fully churning — and the app avoids losing the billing relationship entirely. This is especially effective for seasonal or lifestyle apps where usage naturally ebbs and flows.
When you're a younger founder, the one currency you have that the incumbents of your industry don't have is speed and urgency. When we chose to reposition ourselves, we're now in an industry where folks have been there for 15 to 20 years and they're going to move slower than us inherently because they're a larger company. You have that advantage.
Speed is the one currency incumbents in your industry do not have
Sean reframes 'pivoting into a crowded space' as actually being an advantage: a 12-person team can rewrite its entire positioning in weeks, while 20-year-old incumbents physically can't. Treat urgency as the moat that's structurally unavailable to bigger competitors.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
