Avendo
Business assistant for freelancers and small service businesses
What is Avendo?
Avendo is a lightweight business assistant for freelancers and small service businesses. It helps organize clients, jobs, bookings, payment status, tasks and reminders. The free mobile and desktop local organizer works offline, stores data on the device and requires no account. The free plan is limited to 30 clients and 50 active jobs, with no sync. Optional paid plans add cloud sync, web access, collaboration, booking pages, invoice records and AI features. The web app requires an account and a paid plan. Avendo tracks payment status and does not process payments.

Open-source community lives across Discord + GitHub + Twitter, not GitHub alone
Managing hundreds of contributors feels more like running a Discord server than a code repo. Being responsive on Discord when people hit setup issues doubles as product feedback for reducing onboarding friction — the support thread IS the install-flow research. Plan for three channels at minimum if shipping open source.
