A web search and research API for AI agents that returns cited, screened evidence instead of raw web content.

What is Arlong?
Arlong is a web search and research API for AI agents, available through REST and MCP. It retrieves live web sources, screens untrusted content for prompt injections, and returns structured evidence for the agent's task. Agents can find a source, read the page, and receive a cited summary, with the option to keep useful evidence and isolate detected hostile instructions where possible.
The product is aimed at developers and teams building AI agents that need current web information without passing unvetted page content straight into the agent's context. Developers can connect Arlong through the API or MCP, or try it first in the Playground.
Arlong separates web content from permission to act. Its research pipeline gathers source evidence, checks coverage, and looks for supporting or conflicting evidence. The documentation notes that a source link alone does not verify a claim, and that syndicated copies should not count as independent confirmation. Arlong Screen can also be used on its own with other search APIs, accepting text, HTML, or supported public URLs.
Arlong is clear about its limits. Screening is described as a protective layer with measured limitations, not a guarantee that prompt injection cannot reach an agent. Allowed content is still treated as untrusted evidence, and the vendor recommends limiting agent permissions and requiring authorization for sensitive actions.

App Store Distribution Beats Website Sales For Consumer Apps — The Buying Experience Is The Moat
Astropad originally charged on the Mac side — where users pay more — but revenue was weak. Moving to iOS App Store pricing caused revenue to jump. For consumer-facing apps the frictionless, trusted App Store buying experience outweighs higher price points available elsewhere. The distribution and trust infrastructure is worth the commission for products that solve a problem people search for on a phone.
me and a friend worked on it for about a week we got a domain we launched it and then we bought Google ads to get people to start clicking into the domain and immediately people started uploading bank statements which kind of validated the problem
Build A One-Week MVP And Use Google Ads As The Real Demand Test
Angus skipped pre-launch validation entirely. He and a friend shipped a working MVP in about a week, bought Google search ads to drive targeted traffic, and treated actual bank-statement uploads as the demand signal. Watching strangers convert beats every friend-and-family survey.
