What is AniDachi?

AniDachi turns any Crunchyroll, YouTube or Netflix episode into a shared watchroom. Install the Chrome extension, start a room and send the invite link. Everyone's playback stays in sync, so pausing, seeking or skipping the opening happens for the whole group at once.

It's built for watching together, not just syncing a video. Chat and emoji reactions appear right on top of the video. Built-in voice and video calls mean you don't need a separate Discord or Zoom window. Camera bubbles can be resized and moved, and the whole layout adjusts on screen.

AniDachi detects the anime you're watching automatically. On paid plans it saves your watch progress, so your group can pick up exactly where you left off next week.

It's made for anime friend groups, long-distance couples and anyone watching together across time zones.

Joining a room is always free. Hosting needs Plus (you plus up to 5 friends) or Pro (up to 14 friends, more mics and priority support). Eligible accounts can try either plan free for 3 days. Each viewer uses their own Crunchyroll, YouTube or Netflix access. AniDachi works in desktop Chrome. Hulu, Disney+ and Paramount+ support is on the roadmap.

AniDachi is not affiliated with Crunchyroll, Sony, YouTube, Google or Netflix.

Audience
Nobody really believed that the purple heart would be the winning version because it was so disruptive — maybe looking more like a dating app. But it came out of the studies as the winning version by far, on all target audiences. And I believe strongly that it really helped my performance campaigns to be again more profitable.

User-Tested Logo Change Improved Performance Ad Efficiency

Deezer changed its logo from a technical equalizer graphic to a purple heart after user research: they asked panels to draw the old logo from memory, then tested new versions. The study pointed to the emotional heart — not the tech-signals equalizer. Post-launch, ad creative using the new brand identity became measurably more efficient. User-centric brand decisions don't just improve perception; they compound through every downstream marketing touchpoint.

Product
The first 85% is very easy. But after that every 1% is hard work. Sometimes differentiating great products from commodities is — do they just always work?

The Last 10% Is the Entire Product — Edge Cases Define Who Wins in Commoditized Categories

VPN is a commodity in the first 85% — open source stacks exist, the core tunnel functionality is a known problem. Super Unlimited won the category by obsessing over the edge cases: reconnecting after a dropped cell tower transition, serving a user whose hotel blocks their IP, handling 3G in Nepal. Their QA engineer walked elevator shafts with debug builds to simulate real-world disconnects. In any category where competitors stop at 85%, the 15% of edge cases is the actual moat.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
