AmbiChat – Free Live Chat Software for Websites
Communication·Customer Support
What is AmbiChat?
AmbiChat is a free website live chat tool. You add a chat widget to your site, customise its appearance with your business name, a welcome message and your own colour choices, and reply to visitors from one simple inbox. Conversations are kept organised, with threads you can follow and private internal notes that only your team can see.
It is aimed at businesses that want to talk with website visitors without paying for a plan. The page states that it is free on unlimited websites, with all current features included, and that no credit card is required. Sign-in is with Google, and your inbox and customer conversations belong to your account.
Setup, as described on the page, involves adding your business name and website, choosing the chat appearance, and pasting one small script before the closing body tag of your site. AmbiChat then confirms when the widget has been detected, and you can optionally enable phone notifications from your inbox.
The main trade-off is branding: every widget includes a small "Powered by AmbiChat" link, and removing it is not currently available.

I don't want it to say yes to something that is a no but it's fine for me to for it to say no to something that that might be a yes I don't care about the the false negatives that those are acceptable because I have like 20,000 podcast episodes coming in in a day
Pick the asymmetric error tolerance before tuning the prompt
When the input firehose is big, optimize the prompt for precision, not recall. A wrong 'yes' burns user trust on every notification; a missed 'yes' is invisible. Encode that asymmetry directly into the eval scoring before tuning — penalize false positives ~10x more than false negatives, then chase that number. Arvid hit 99.8% on a podcast-classifier doing exactly this.
We are just very frugal. I'm not gonna pay a margin of ads to an agency. We have a stable of really strong editors who do all the editing. I shoot with a teammate for two hours on a Sunday — that's the video for the week.
In-House Creative as Competitive Moat — Frugality Beats Agency Margins
Speechify's four company values are product quality, speed, leading with love, and frugality — and frugality explains why they never outsource creative. Agencies add a margin layer without adding brand understanding. Keeping creative in-house means the people making ads are the same people who understand the product, the users, and the mission. This is the same reason they never outsourced engineering.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
