What is 2dto3D?

2dto3D is an AI photo-to-3D model generator built for realism. Upload one product photo; the pipeline generates the angles your photo is missing, builds the 3D model, and sets it to real-world size, so AR shows it as big as it really is. A model takes about 5 minutes. Every model includes an interactive viewer, AR on Android and iOS, an embed snippet for any store, four free packshots, and export to GLB, GLTF, FBX, OBJ, USDZ, STL and 3MF. It works for online stores, game development, AR/VR, film and 3D printing, and it connects to ChatGPT, Claude and Blender through MCP. Try it free for 7 days with 3 free models, or make your first model for $2.

What some founders do is get in a big hurry to get it to market. We made sure that what we built would scale and that we could change things out as we moved along.

Design your codebase so individual vendors can be swapped without rebuilding

After painfully migrating from a failing transcription vendor to AssemblyAI (cutting costs in half and gaining features), Vince codified a rule: architect each integration as an isolated module. If you design the seams correctly from the start, replacing a vendor is a week's work instead of a quarter's crisis. It's the vendor equivalent of loose coupling.

we actually ripped out all the localization infrastructure we built our own GitHub action and there's like a thin library which just extracts the strings or wraps all the strings and then each time we make a PR to our repo it just sends it with like a prompt per language about the localization guide and that means we're able to localize like way cheaper and much faster

Replace expensive localization SaaS with a GitHub Action and LLM prompts

ElevenLabs was paying an agency and an expensive SaaS for localization until engineers noticed that ChatGPT consistently produced better translations. They replaced everything with a GitHub Action: on every PR, a thin wrapper extracts strings and sends them through a per-language LLM prompt. The result is faster, cheaper, and more natural-sounding copy — making full localization of ads and app store listings practical for any team.

There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
